Laura and Mike provided one of our liveliest wedding parties yet, with lots of attitude and fun poses, not to mention the speeches! The ceremony was held at the tiny, and super cute, St Andrew's Church on a sweltering hot summer's day, with reception on her parent's beautiful property in Matakana afterwards. We had good fun in between these, shooting the wedding party around the Ascension Wine Estate buildings, and watching the boys try and tinker with the classic cars at the same time..
We had a fantastic time shooting Katy and Ed on Waiheke Island, a lovely couple from New Zealand and Ireland respectively. The weather caused an interesting change in plans, with a social cocktail hour for everyone to socialise before the ceremony, but gave us lots of extra options for photos before and after. It was great to hear all the family stories from visitors from overseas, and to enjoy the craic long into the night, until we sadly had to get the last ferry home!
Tash and Robbie are good friends of Sven and Nick, and it was a great pleasure to photograph their wedding, paying special attention of course to their young daughter Maria, who was a focal point of the day. Tash and Robbie are keen climbers and nature lovers, and their wedding ceremony was conducted outside on a beautiful late summer's day in Birkenhead, in a park overlooking Auckland Harbour.
Everyone enjoyed the day thoroughly, sitting outside in the sunshine and playing games and eating cupcakes and other treats. Following the outdoor gathering we took the bridal party out for photos around the local bays and under the harbour bridge before retiring to their lovely home for a dinner reception.
